home?

Watched finished devil may cry anime and I think I rather used the time spent watching the anime towards the ps2 console instead trying to complete the 3rd game. That's how bad it is..only thing is the fan service to dante (though he does look cool imo). However found 2 nice songs..the ending theme and one of the insert songs.. and I think it's partly these 2 songs that I find myself rushing to the end (and hoping for some epic scenes of course which kinda disappoint me when the series ended). Surprisingly the song is in english and the way the singer sang that song is different from usual that I hear in anime... song's considered a melancholy one though, listening to it might be quite saddening.

I’ll Be Your Home - Rin Oikawa

Don’t look back
Don’t regret
Time’s falling out of these hands
I’ll let you leave me

Go on,
You know Home is always inside your soul
All the light to bless your way
Don’t be afraid
And I’ll be your home

In this time
In this place
This moment is all we have
And tomorrow we never know

Every precious time
Let it go
Somewhere away
You will learn, And you’ll love,
forgive the past and you can move on

All the distance
You’ve come to a place
Then you see that your home is away
Now the sun is rising
lighting up your sky again brightly

Every precious time
Let it go
Somewhere away
You will learn, And you’ll love,
forgive the past

Go on,
You know Home is always inside your soul
Wherever you go
Whatever you see
I’ll be the place
And I’ll be your home

-end song-

Remembered a quote from a magic:the gathering card too(not a good card, but..) too. 'The best foresight is hindsight'..not really in a mood to decipher its meaning (which has a high chance of being wrong anyway) though. Last time I collected the cards cos of the quotes at the bottom, where the developers will reveal a part of the story of that specific set. Reminds me of gerrard and the weatherlight..

A week from cny..

And I have bought some clothes which I hoped will last me the cny..mainly 2 short sleeved shirts 1 long sleeved and a pair of shoes (mostly bought last fri). Never really done any spring cleaning though..not really sure where to put my stuff around lol.. maybe another day.

Last Thu onwards was leave and off for me up to today, feeling not bad compared to my last long weekend ( in dec) which was filled with sianness.. went out to eat with frens for dinner more this time and other things too..e.g. went to buy some cny clothes last fri with wk, js n gs. Sat went to wk house to eat some takopachi (cooked by the gals of course, incidentally the taste leaves much to be desired but..whatever), coincided with ty returning to sg on last thu for cny holidays.

Saw some nice anime posters on Fri and Sat at comics connection.. no nice posters of female celebrities though (at least those S.H.E ones not so gd, haha). 3 for $1 too..the only problem is where do I put them up -.- . I have mayday's one and 1 S.H.E in my cupboard, not put up yet and most probably watever posters i buy will be kept there too. mo di seems to be stuck..with no release for over 4-5 months already.

Being in ns too long will cause a person to forget wat he has studied..that's what I think after 2 years about to ord, for my english is becoming weaker than before enlistment..mostly due to prolonged unuse of it..I sense that the word 'unuse' is wrong in this context too, but I cant think of any other words at the moment, bleh...

Watched somewhat of devil may cry anime (most likely to get ppl more interested in the upcoming DMC 4 since anime was released in june last yr).. was alright currently, with a somewhat loose plot. Decided to spend lesser time on wow, might as well get used to it since I think when uni starts in aug, wont have the time to chiong wow throughout the night. Spent the time watching anime, going out instead.

after a long while..

For a moment I was surprised at the interval of this post and the previous one..although on second thought I realised that i actually expected it.. I originally wanted to update earlier but..whatever. My 1st weekend of the yr was spent doing duty, only went kbox (afew hrs after duty) the next day..tiring. Also came back from field camp last fri, quite tiring too..as always, tekong has more stars in the sky in 1 night than what i see in a month put together at my housing area..even though the distance is just a patch of water to the mainland, but the difference is so big.. bleh thought dec was the last time I would see tekong but instead last week should be the last one. The field camp gave me a bit of time to look at the moon, somehow it's like a marking to me tat whatever time has passed when I look at a full moon, having seen a full one on the day of my enlistment. Haha it's the only day that I remember seeing a full moon, other days I forgot already...

A new year, more good tidings?

Well 1st of all a happy new year..although late by 2 days but was too lazy to make a post. Oh well...anyway didnt do anything to usher in the new year(decided it was madness to try to squeeze with the 200k ppl in marina, didn't really know where to go anyway..suddenly sg seems boring -.-) apart from playing wow at home and a bit of sudouku over msn. I am quite alright at it due to repeated playings over the past 1 yr but those 5 star ones at weekend today continue to stump me(not that I really keep trying them, only did 3 and finished 1).

The last event that I went before 2008 was Fish Leong's concert in the indoor stadium last sat (29/12/07). So how's the concert? The newspaper reports at each paper over the last few days kinda sums up the good and bad points of the show(mainly MyPaper, zhaobao online for bad points..pretty ironic isn't it since MyPaper was the main advertising newspaper for the concert) which I agree to them mostly, though it didnt affect me that much. For people who don't know, they are mainly the irrelevance of the extra items used to help spice up the atmosphere, e.g. cheering bands while fish's singing causing the eyes not sure who to follow: the singer or the background. However, that does not mean it sucks or what...in fact her voice's good enough to charm the whole audience (including me I must say...) for almost 3 hours. Stage was set up simply, with just 2 big love signs as a 'door' one behind another

Her songs were nice, even better than the track versions imo, heard some older songs which I never hear b4 too.. sang songs from other singers too which I find alright, more opportunites to show off her vocals. In particular her 1st 2 songs 崇拜 and 丝路 were full of emotion and nice, made my eyes teary. Her duet of yong bao with a-shin from mayday was also good, could see the good chemistry between both of them. I suppose I could go on and on, but no point lol..

Overall I feel that even with whatever bad points the show might have, I don't regret spending the $118 for the show (although was at row 16), in fact I wished I spent an additional $20 for the seats further up front since she looked quite small from my position. Hm looking at what I just typed I guess others will think that I am her fanboy, although personally I don't think so..just find her songs nice. I supposed I could have try to buy the tickets to Jay chou's concert later this month, but I feel I rather have go to an alternative one.

The next day was Maria Sharapova's exhiibtion match also in indoor stadium which was like O_o to me since when was an indoor stadium ever used as a tennis court and it seemed kind of rushed for the onsite workers since the stage made for fish leong's concert has to be dismantled quickly...bet that fish leong's grp didnt have much sleep that night.

Well to be more relevant to the title, I kind of made a few resolutions for 2008, to lose abit of weight since I am already becoming fatter(a continuing process since last year). Hopefully things might be better for me this year, especially the last 3 months of ns before ord..ns life has taken a turn for the worse, only comfort is that suffer 3 more months then ord loh..while my juniors will have to suffer more. A long post here too, kind of rare..normally I don't have much to type on. Until the next post then......
